RE: MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Thank you for your interest in membership of the Weiti Boating Club. At the bottom of this page is a link to an application form for your completion. The application must be proposed and seconded, preferably by club members. In the event of the applicant not knowing any club members, two personal references given by the applicants accountant, solicitor, bank manager, or other reputable person may be acceptable. Each application MUST be proposed and seconded.
Please attach your cheque for the appropriate
amount as detailed below which will include the current years
subscription to 31st July.

Committee meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday of the
month. Applications are presented to the
committee, go on the board for a month and are presented for acceptance at the
next committee meeting. Cheques are not
presented until your membership has been accepted at which point you will
receive a letter confirming membership has been approved.
A mooring application form link is also at the
bottom of this page. Please only fill
this in when you are ready to apply for a mooring and have a boat to put on
it. Priority for moorings is decided on
the date you obtained membership of the club.
All boats on moorings are to have a minimum 3rd party
insurance.
Mooring movement depends on the number of members
selling or changing boats and does vary without any pattern. For example several months may go by without
any transfers and then five or six berths may become available for
reallocation.
As a general rule, our moorings are not suited to
multi-hull craft, as we have restricted width between the piles on the
clubhouse side of the river and we are required to maintain maximum possible
waterway for the main channel. Please
note that boats over 10 tonnes will not be hauled.
When a permanent mooring is allocated, a mooring
entry fee set at $250.00 is charged.
This is a once only charge.
Permanent mooring live aboard is not
permitted. Applications for a maximum
period of 2 months per year must be made to the committee in writing.
