Year built: 1980 approx. D/D glassed over

Length: 25ft Draft: 4ft 6 fin keel

Rig: 3/4, Spinnaker pole, jockey pole

Sails: 3 headsails, 1 Main, 1 Spinnaker

Anchor: 1 Danforth & chain, 2 warps

Cabin configuration: larger single berth to port, single

berth to starboard, 2 quarter berths.

Head: hand pumped with small holding tank

Outboard: Evinrude 15hp, 1995. Battery charging capacity.

Fuel tanks: 3 plastic portable (1 x 10 litre, 2 x 20 litre)

Tender: Force 4 soft bottom inflatable with oars,

Mercury 2.2hp O/B - goes but needs gasket set

The hull was fully stripped and painted to a "super

yacht finish" about 7 years ago. At the same time I installed a Weaver hatch.

The sails are about 3/4 through their life.

Spinnaker is in better condition.

Winches (3) are old Masport models that could do

with servicing.

Battery has little life left but will include.

There are various cups, plates, cutlery. Some spare parts. Some old life jackets and assorted ropes.

The outboard I've always flushed with fresh water after use and was last serviced about a year ago. The 15hp is well suited and I've found to be powerful enough to push through the rough when called on.

Chinook has been a great little yacht for me over the

last 14 years I have owned her. With great sea going ability this fast cruiser has taken me through fair weather and foul to Whangaroa Harbour and the Bay of Islands in the north, circumnavigating Great Barrier Island, Coromandel and heaps of trips in the inner gulf to Kawau Island. We have explored many a glorious and secluded bay our northland coast has to offer.

 The large cockpit makes for a great family day sailer.

 A change in my interests and commitments means it's not right she should be on a mooring and not being enjoyed by others. Have finally made the hard decision to part company.  $14,800.
